SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and fairly widespread in Chin State. Weather has been partly cloudy inLower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below December average temperatures in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions, (2°C) below December average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw and (Northern and Southern)Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, (5°C) to (6°C) above December average temperaturesin Kachin, Chin States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (7°C) each in Namsam and Tongzan and (8°C) each in Heho, Loilin, Hakha and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.71) inch in Homalin, (0.27) inch each in Myitkyina and Monyin and (0.24) inch in Hkamti.
BAY INFERENCE:Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, Southeast and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal andpartly cloudy elsewhereover the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th December, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy inNaypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA:Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 -7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, ChinStates.
