SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Night temperatures were (2°C) above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Shan, Mon States and about November average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Hakha and (9°C) in Putao. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.56)inch in Kawthaung and (0.16)inch in Coco-Island.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Soutwest Bay and adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal (off North Tamilnadu -South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India) has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about (675) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Coco-Island, (765) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (175) Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and (160)Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry(India).
Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th November, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
