SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T:During the past (24)hours,weather has been partly cloudy in lower Saging, Magway, Bago Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Mon States. Rain or thundershowers have beenfairly widerspread in Eastern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Night temperatures were(2°C)above November average temperatures in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States,(3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperaturesin Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, KayahStates, (5°C) above November average temperature inNorthern Shan State and about November average temperaturein the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were(11°C) each in Putao, Tiddim and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were(0.98)inchinHpapun,(0.35)inch inMuse,(0.31)inch in Kawthaung and (0.27)inch in Bhamo.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal now lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal.It is forecast continuous to move Westwards and reach to Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh- North Tamilnadu coasts, India)around (18.11.2021). Weather isa few cloudover the NorthandEastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th November, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Shan State andisolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
