SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T:During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been widerspread in Northern Shan State, fairly widerspread in Naypyitaw,Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Kachin, Southern Shan and Chin States andisolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions with isolated heavyfalls in Chin State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Night temperatures were(2°C) below November average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C)above November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, AyeyarwadyRegions andRakhine, Kayah,MonStates,(3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperaturesin Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, ShanStates, (6°C) above November average temperature inChin State and about November average temperaturein the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were(11°C)in Tongzan and (12°C) each inPutao and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were(3.98)inchesinTiddim,(2.56)inches inKawthaung, (1.97)inches in Coco Island, (1.42)inchesin Taungoo(Aviation) and (1.34)inches in Mawlaik.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over North Andaman and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards and now lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely continuous to move Westwards and reach to Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh- North Tamilnadu coasts) around (18.11.2021). Weather isa few cloudover the North Bay andpartly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th November, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread inUpper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States,scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kachin State andisolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
