SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widerspread in Kachin, Shan States, fairly widerspread in Mandalay Region and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Night temperatures were (2°C) below November average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above November average temperatures in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Shan State, (5°C) above November average temperature in Chin State and about November average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (12°C) in Tongzan and (13°C) each in Hakha and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.93)inches in Tiddim, (1.60) inches in Tagaung, (0.91)inch in Mawlaik, (0.83) inch in Tongzan and (0.74)inch in Namsam.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Central part of Andaman Sea now lies over the North Andaman Sea still persists. It is likely continuous to move West-Northwestwards and reach to East Central Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal around (17.11.2021). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th November, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
