SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.79) inches in Haingyigyun, (3.93) inches in Khayan, (3.82) inches in Launglon, (3.25) inches in Saw, (2.64) inches in Kamamaung, (2.48) inches in Pauk, (2.36) inches in Myauk U, (2.20) inches in Dawei, (2.09)inches in Mudon, (2.04)inches in Bago and (1.93) inches in Taunggu(Avia).
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal(North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha Coasts) now lies over adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Coastal Andhra Pradesh still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th October, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 -9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from the Southern Myanmar areas.
