SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Ayeyarwady Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions.The noteworthy amount ofrainfall recorded were (4.33) inches in Launglon, (2.99) inches in Dawei, (2.79) inches in Phyu, (2.72) inches in Theinzayet,(2.56) inches in Singaing, (2.44) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.05) inches in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), (1.93) inches in Heho, (1.85) inches in Myeik, (1.77) inches in Monywa(Kyemone), (1.74) inches in Saw and (1.69) inches in Kawkareik.
BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Northern Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, KayahStates and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (5– 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
