SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region,
fairly widespread in Kachin State, sacttered in Shan State, isolated in Sagaing,
Mandalay,Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States and weather
has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures
were about May average temperatures in Shan (Eastern and Nothern) State,
(3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions,
Kachin, Shan (Southern), Chin and Rakhine States and (5°C) to (6°C) above
May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant
day temperatures were (43°C) each in Monywa, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Chauk,
Minbu, Magway and Gangaw . The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were
Kawthong (2.68) inches, Pyinoolwin (1.88)inches, Thipaw (1.18) inches,
Patheingyi (1.15) inches and Mandalay (1.10) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman sea
and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 15th May, 2015: Rain or
thundershowers are likely to be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in
Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Mon States and isolated
in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or
thundershowers in the Southern Myanmar areas.
