SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.59) inches in Pauk, (4.76) inches in Mawlamyine, (4.41) inches each in Hpa-an(Agro-Met) and Thaton, (4.29) inches in Sittwe, (3.70) inches each in Kyeikkhame and Launglon, (3.50)inches in Chaungsone, (3.43) inches in Paung,(3.30) inches in Kalay, (3.23) inches in Dawei, (3.20) inches in Saw, (3.04) inches each in Thandwe and Manaung, (2.95)inches in Kyeikmayaw, (2.76)inches in Kamamaung, (2.60)inches in Maungdaw and (2.41)inches in Ann.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, MandalayRegions and Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in TaninthayiRegion and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 - 11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
