SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (7.13) inches in Kyaukpyu, (5.75) inches in Paung, (5.04) inches in Mudon, (4.33) inches in Chaungsone, (4.05) inches in Pathein, (3.82) inches in Hpaungpyin,(3.54) inches in Gwa, (3.31) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (3.27) inches each in Mawlamyine and Launglon, (3.19) inches in Thaton, (3.04)inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi (Hlaingbwe), (2.83)inches in Kyeikkhame and (2.80)inches in Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread Bago Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions andKayin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7- 10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
