SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States,fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regionsand States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (7.09) inches in Chaungsone, (5.94) inches in Ye, (5.87) inches in Kyeikkhame, (4.65) inches in Mudon, (3.58) inches each in Kawthaung and Launglon, (3.58) inches in Paletwa, (3.07) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (2.80) inches in Paung, (2.60)inches in Kyeikdon, (2.28)inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi and (1.97)inches in Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and weak to moderate over the Eastcentral Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 08th June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Region and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8- 10) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon–Taninthayi Coasts and about (5- 7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayin Regions and Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
