SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The observed highest Ultra Violet indexes were Naypyitaw (11+), Yangon (9.2) and Mandalay (11+). The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Gwa (3.11)inches, Khayan and Kawkayeik (1.62)inches each, Thaton (1.54)inches, Phyu (1.41) inches, Namsam, Minesat and Coco Island (1.14)inches each, Hinthada (1.06)inches and Theinzayet (1.02)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5th June, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State, fairly widespread in Shan (Eastern and Southern), Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
