SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region
and Chin State, isolated in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Rakhine States and
weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
Day temperatures were about May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region,
Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, (5°C) above May average
temperature in Yangon Region and (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures
in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C)
in Chauk, (42°C) each in Mandalay, Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway and Aunglan.
The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kalaywa (0.87) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy in the South Bay
and partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 4th May, 2015: Weather will be
partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kayah State and
rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in the remaining Regions and
States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers
in the Southern Myanmar areas.
