25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past

(24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, isolated in

Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan and Rakhine States and weather has been

partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to

(4°C) above April average temperatures in Shan State and about April average

temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures

were (43°C) in Chauk, (42°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Sinphyugyun and

Kyobinkauk. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Ann (1.30) inches,

Kyaukse (0.40) inch and Minesat (0.28) inch.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman Sea and

Southeast Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th April, 2015: Rain or

thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and 

Kachin State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions,

Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States and weather will be partly cloudy

in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight

increase of day temperatures  in the Lower Myanmar areas.
