SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershower have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Mon State and isolated in Bago Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States. Weather has been generally fair in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Southern Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44.2°C each in Chauk and Myinmu, 43.0°C each in Myangyan, Minbu and Sinbyugyun, 42.6°C each in Magway and Gangaw, 42.2°C each in Mingin and Monywa and 42.0°C each in Tada U(Aviation), Pakokku and Taungdwingyi on 24-4-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.26 inches in Kawthaung, 0.63 inch in Kyeikmayaw, 0.24 inch in Pyay, 0.20 inch in Mudon and 0.08 inch each in Chaungsone and Mongyawng.
BAYINFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th April 2025: Rain or thundershower will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
