SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershower have been fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Kayin State and isolated in Mon, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway Regions and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 4°C above April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, 2°C above April average temperatures in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Southern Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44.6°C in Chauk, 43.5°C in Myinmu, 43.3°C in Mingin, 43.0°C each in Minbu and Sinbyugyun, 42.8°C each in Magway and Kalewa, 42.6°C in Gangaw, 42.3°C in Aunglan and 42.0°C each in Myingyan and Taungdwingyi on 23-4-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.98 inch in Hpa-an, 0.35 inch in Machanbaw, 0.32 inch in Putao, 0.24 inch in Paung, 0.16 inch in Myitkyina and 0.08 inch in Mongyang.

BAYINFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th April 2025: Rain or thundershower will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershower will be isolated to scattered in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 25th April 2025:                    Partly cloudy and likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 60%.
