SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Southern Shan State, 2°C above March average temperatures in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Northern Shan States and 2°C below March average temperature in Chin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44.0°C in Chauk, 42.8°C in Minbu, 42.5°C each in Magway and Sinbyugyun, 42.2°C in Myingyan, 41.8°C in Nyaung Oo, 41.6°C in Myinmu, 41.4°C in Aunglan, 41.2°C in Monywa and 41.0°C each in Tatkon and Taungdwingyi on 17-3-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.42 inch in Putao and 0.31 inch in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th March 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
