SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Yangon, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and 3°C below March average temperature in Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.0°C in Shwekyin, 39.5°C in Myawaddy, 39.2°C each in Chauk and Theinzayet, 39.0°C each in Khayan, Bago and Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 38.8°C in Hpa-an, 38.7°C in Mawlamyine, 38.5°C each in Kawkareik and Thaton, 38.4°C in Belin, 38.3°C in Aunglan and 38.2°C in Pyay on 1-3-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.67 inch in Putao and 0.55 inch in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, Westcentral and South Bay and generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd March 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scarttered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayin, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
