SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Taninthayi Region and Chin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below February average temperature in Chin State, 2°C below February average temperatures in Kachin, Rakhine States and 2°C above February average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayin, Mon States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.0°C in Hakha, 2.6°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 5.4°C in Heho, 6.3°C in Tiddim, 6.5°C in Mongyang, 6.9°C in Loilin, 7.5°C in Myitkyina, 8.6°C in Pyinoolwin, 8.8°C in Pinlaung and 9.2°C in Putao. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.12 inch in Machanbaw and 0.04 inch in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st February 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States.
