Early Monsoon Period Forecast
The early monsoon period is establishment of monsoon over Northern Myanmar to the end of June. Out of (2) Low Pressure Areas, (1) may further intensify into the Depression in the Bay of Bengal. During the early monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Rain will be expected above normal in Taninthayi Region, below normal in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin State and about Normal rain in the remaining Regions and States.
Mid Monsoon Period Forecast
Mid Monsoon period is a period of starting from 1st July to the end of August. Out of (2) Low Pressure Areas, (1) may further intensify into the Depression in the North Bay of Bengal. During the mid monsoon period, monsoon will be strong. Rain will be expected above normal in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and below normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin State and about Normal rain in the remaining Regions and States.
Late Monsoon Period Forecast
Late Monsoon period is a period starting from 1st September to the date of Monsoon withdrawal from the Whole Country. Out of (3) Low Pressure Areas, (1) may further intensify into the Depression in the Bay of Bengal. During the late monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Rain will be expected below normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about Normal in the remaining Regions and States.

Bay of Bengal Condition
Out of (2) Low Pressure Areas, (1) may further intensify into the Depression in the Bay of Bengal. Monsoon break may occur one time during the mid monsoon period.
Rain Condition
Rain will be expected above normal in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, below normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and about normal rain in the remaining Regions and States.
