25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Mid Monsoon period 2017

Mid Monsoon is a period of starting from 1st July to the end of August.

Monsoon & Bay of Bengal Condition

Four  low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and two may further intensify into the Depression. During the mid monsoon period, monsoon is likely moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. One time monsoon Break may occur in Mid-Monsoon period.

Rain Condition

Rain will be expected above normal rain in Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and about normal rain in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
