25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

                    Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Central Myanmar Areas during (1-5) of June and the whole country during (6-10) of June. A Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal.  During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate.

 

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be expected above normal in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States, below normal in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State and about normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.  

Rainy days will be expected 7 to 9 days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and  about 4 to 6 days  in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah States.
