27-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 730 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 270 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in NayPyiTaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayah States and about normal in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (9) days in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, Southern and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and about (4) to (6) days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah States.
