25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over elsewhere Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Day

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State.

Rainy days are expected about (3) to (5) days in Upper Sagaing, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and (1) to (2) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah  States.

Day Temperature

Day temperature will be (1.5°C) below normal of April average temperatures in Southern and Eastern Shan, Kayah States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
