SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Bago Region and Kayah State, isolated in Mandalay and Magway Region, Shan, Chin and Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were about May average temperatures in Rakhine and Kayah States, (5°C) above May average temperatures in Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan and Kayin States and (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk and (43°C) each in Monywa, Yeu, Myingyan, Minbu, Magway and Pakokku. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Naypyitaw (Laiway) (1.22) inches, Naypyitaw (Zabuthiri) (1.18) inches, Pyay (0.78) inch and Taunggu (0.59) inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 8th May, 2015: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of continuation of isolated rain or thundershowers in the Upper Myanmar areas.
