SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (6.85)inches, Thaton (4.80)inches, Myauk U (4.21)inches, Belin (3.78)inches, Kawkayeit (3.43)inches, Sittwe (3.23)inches and Hpa-an(Agro) (2.87)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5th July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h.
