26-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 770 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 405 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 3rd August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Shan, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
