27-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 730 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 270 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been scattered  in Naypyitaw and Sagaing Region ,Northern Shan state, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions , Kachin and Rakhine state and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with Locally heavy falls in Mandalay and Magway Regions. The observed highest Ultra Violet indexes were Naypyitaw (11+), Yangon (5.6) and Mandalay (11+). The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Manaung (2.68)inches, Chaungsone(2.64)inches, Pyay (2.36)inches, Hainggyikyun (2.32) inches, Madauk (2.28) inches, Launglone (2.13)inches, Kyeikhame (2.09)inches, Myauk U and Thaton (2.05)inches each, Thayat (2.01)inches, Hinthada (1.89)inches, Gangaw (1.81)inches, Minbu (1.77) inches, Hmawbi (Agro) (1.73)inches , Sittwe and Dawei (1.69)inches each and Nahtogyi (1.62)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 7th June, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwadr Regions, Shan (East and South), Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
