SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Shan State, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Chin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Mudon (6.77)inches, Palatwa (6.69)inches, Yay (6.49)inches, Ann (6.14)inches, Kyeikkhame (5.91)inches, Chaungsone (5.43)inches, Dawei (5.24)inches, Mawlamyine (5.00)inches, Myauk U (4.84)inches, Launglon (4.80)inches, Hpa-an (Agro) and Paung (4.65)inches each, Kyauktaw (4.45)inches, Taungkok (4.37)inches, Kyeikmayaw (4.20)inches and Belin (4.17)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, the tropical storm (Kujira) over Gulf of Tonkin (South China sea) is crossing Northern Coast (Vietnam).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th June, 2015: Rain will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine and Mon States, isolated heavy falls in Bago Region, Chin and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Coastal areas.
