SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region,
scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread
in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan,
Chin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with
regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region and isolated heavy falls
in Magway Region. The observed highest Ultra Violet indexes were Naypyitaw
(9.8), Yangon (6.7) and Mandalay (4.1). The noteworthy amounts of rainfall
recorded were Nahtogyi (3.60)inches, Pyinmana (2.28)inches, Taungdwingyi
(2.05)inches, Myinttha (1.90)inches, Singaing (1.88)inches, Laiway and
Phyarpon (1.77)inches each, Moekok (1.50)inches and Pinlaung (1.38)
inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and
Southeast Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 4th June, 2016: Rain
or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region, Rakhine and
Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway and Bago
Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin and Kayin States and
widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy
falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is
(100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar
waters.
