SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been sacttered in Shan State, isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States with isolated heavy fall in Upper Sagaing Region and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were about May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Eastern Shan and Chin States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan (Nothern and Southern) and Kayah States and (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Chauk and Magway, (43°C) each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo and Yamethin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Katha (3.07) inches, Myauk U (1.30) inches, Kyauktaw (0.59) inch and Thipaw (0.47) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 14th May, 2015: Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago,Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
