25-11-2024:According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over South Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and further intensified into a Depression. It is centered at about 725 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 570 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, Chin and Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, and Mon States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk and (42°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway and Aunglan. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded was Maungdaw (0.39) inch.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 3rd May, 2015: Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions and rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain or thundershowers in the Southern Myanmar areas.
