SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan (Northern and Southern) and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. Day temperatures were (5°C) below May average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperature in Upper Sagaing and Yanogn Regions, Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (36°C) each in Monywa and Kyaukse. The observed highest Ultra Violet indexes were Naypyitaw (4.5), Yangon (7.3) and Mandalay (9.7). The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Heingyikyun (8.11)inches, Paung (5.31)inches, Hpa-an(Agro) (4.09)inches, Hpan-an (3.98)inches, Thaton (3.77)inches, Theinzayet (3.74)inches, Yay and Belin (3.43)inches each , Kawthong (3.11)inches, Yangon (North Dagon) (3.03)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy over the East Central Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
