SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Kachin and Eastern Shan States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Kyaukse and Chauk, (41°C) each in Minbu and Magway. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myaungmya (1.97) inches, Bago and Thaton (1.45) inches each, Hpa-an (Agro) (1.26) inches, Zalun (1.22) inches and Taunggyi (1.18) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea, South Bay and East Central Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 1st June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Chin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar water.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.
