SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershower have been widespread in Yangon, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin, Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C below April average temperatures in Yangon Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State and 3°C below April average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.0°C in Chauk, 39.4°C in Aunglan, 39.0°C in Magway, 38.8°C in Kawkareik, 38.7°C in Myinmu, 38.6°C in Sinpyugyun, 38.4°C in Minbu, 38.2°C in Myingyan and 38.0°C each in Pakokku and Taungdwingyi on 18-4-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.61 inches each in Hmawbi and Gyobingauk, 1.30 inches in Kyaiklat, 1.18 inches in Hmawbi(Agro_Met), 1.14 inches in Theinzayet, 1.01 inches in Bogale, 0.91 inch in Mawlamyinkyun, 0.75 inch in Madauk, 0.63 inch each in Chaungsone and Kyeikmayaw, 0.56 inch in Pindaya and 0.51 inch in Shwekyin.

BAYINFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th April 2025: Rain or thundershower will be widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Chin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershower will be fairly widespread to widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
