SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain has been isolated in Chin State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State and 2°C above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, 3°C to 4°C above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 3.0°C in Hakha, 5.6°C in Tiddim, 5.8°C in Putao, 6.5°C in Pinlaung, 6.7°C in Pyinoolwin, 8.0°C in Mongyang, 8.8°C in Machanbaw, 10.0°C each in Mingin and Heho and 10.5°C in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7thJanuary 2025: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
