19-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Mon State, scattered in Southern Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below November average temperature in Chin State and 2°C above November average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 5.6°C in Hakha, 10.3°C in Tiddim, 11.6°C in Loilin and 12.3°C in Nansam(Southern Shan). The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.96 inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, 1.61 inches in Kungyangon, 1.50 inches each in Bogale and Kyaiklat, 1.42 inches each in Kyaunggon and Dedaye, 1.35 inches in Danubyu, 1.34 inches in Mawlamyine and 1.26 inches in Tharrawady.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Northwest Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th November 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan, Chin States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 4th November 2024:                       Likelihood of isolated light rain with sunny period. Degree of certainty is 60%.
