19-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Bangladesh and adjoining North Bay of Bengal reached to interior of Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and moderate to strong over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be Isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions, scattered in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread inYangon Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine, Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Region and Chin, Rakhine States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan State.
