SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperatures in Yangon Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin States and (2°C) below February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (2°C) above February average temperature in Mon State and (4°C) above February average temperature in Kayin State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Heho, (3°C) in Loilin and (4°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam(Southern Shan) and Pinlaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th February 2024: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
