Deep Depression
According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about 665 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 230 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1000 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35-40 miles per hour.
It does not intend to move towards Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Deep Depression is coded as yellow stage.
Forecast
It is likely to move Northwestwards and weaken into a Depression and may cross North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry Coasts(India) around of 30-11-2024.
Due to the Deep Depression, rain are likely to be isolated to scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls from this morning up to 30-11-2024.
