24-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

          Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a Depression.  Monsoon will be moderate over the Andaman sae and Bay of Bengal. One time of Break Monsoon may occur during August.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

          Rain or Thundershower will be expected below normal in Eastern Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, about normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Western Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Kayah States.

            Rainy days will be expected 21 to 26 days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and  Mon States, 15 to 20 days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, (Northern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah States,  9 to 14 days in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions.
