SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been fairly widespread in Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Kayin States, (2°C) below March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and (3°C) below March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Taungdwingyi and Kyauktaw and (39°C) in Myauk U. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.98) inches in Chaungsone, (1.61) inches in Hpa-an, (1.37) inches in Phyu, (1.10) inches in Myawaddy, (0.35) inch in Hinthada and (0.28) inch in Kawkareik.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers to be scattered in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
