30-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards. It is centered at about 765 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 45 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 40 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). The centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 994 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 50 miles per hour. Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin State.
