30-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards. It is centered at about 765 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 45 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 40 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). The centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 994 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 50 miles per hour. Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 15th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers

will be isolated in Lower Sagaing  Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions

and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah State

and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally falls in

Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon and

Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region

and Kachin State.
