30-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards. It is centered at about 765 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 45 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 40 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). The centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 994 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 50 miles per hour. Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 14th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Upper sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States.
