23-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been Partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Kayah States, scattered in Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hainggyi Island (4.88)inches, Bago (4.53)inches, Moekok (3.54)inches, Hpa-an(Agro) (2.68) inches and Nyaunglaybin (2.20)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 6th September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago Region, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Mon State.
