SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been Partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Kayah States, scattered in Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hainggyi Island (4.88)inches, Bago (4.53)inches, Moekok (3.54)inches, Hpa-an(Agro) (2.68) inches and Nyaunglaybin (2.20)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 6th September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago Region, Rakhine and Mon States.
