BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate in the North Bay and strong in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26^th August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Kachin and Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy fall in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along  Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
