23-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 17th August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Chin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Decrease of rain in the Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
