SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin and Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Rakhine, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (6.10) inches in Ye, (3.15) inches in Myeik, (2.64) inches in Bago, (2.60) inches in Theinzayet, (2.48) inches each in Naypyitaw(Zeyarthiri) and Pyinmana(Walgyi), (2.44) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.36) inches in Launglon, (2.20) inches in Mudon and (2.16) inches each in Hmawbi, Khayan and Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area  over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwads and may further intensify into aDepression during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, the severe tropical storm “CONSON” over the South China Sea, it is centered at about (90)miles South-Southeast Danang (Vietnam) and forecast to move westwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 -13)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
