SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (6.61) inches in Mudon, (5.55) inches in Chaungsone, (4.35) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (3.66) inches in Thaton, (3.50) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.46) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (2.32) inches in Htilin, (2.28) inches in Madauk, (2.12) inches in Ann, (2.05) inches in Taungdwingyi, (1.90) inches in Paing Kyone and (1.78) inches in Shwekyin.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
